Dry Biological Livestock Waste Degrader
Primary Applications – Animal Contaminant Areas, Manure
Collection Pits, Manure Collection Lagoons

ProBio® FarmAid™ is a ready-to-use, enzyme-fortified, powdered formulation designed specifically to reduce toxic gas and odour emission from manure while improving manure handling properties. In a typical application, swine and dairy cattle wastes are flushed from containment areas and collected in pits or lagoons. Periodically, this collected manure is spread on soil as a soil amendment and fertilizer. In the past decade, swine and dairy cattle production facilities have consolidated, producing very large facilities that generate huge quantities of manure, often more manure than local farm land can utilize as fertilizer. Emission of high levels of ammonia and hydrogen sulphide are toxic to livestock and workers. There is a need for more efficient treatment and faster throughput of manure.

Fibrous components in manure slow the rate of natural breakdown and cause problems with pumping. Due to high organics, high cellulose content and insolubility of lipid components, scum forms on manure pits and lagoons. This scum interferes with oxygen transfer and pumping of waste. ProBio® FarmAid™ uses specific hybrid microbes to promote faster degradation of manure, reduce odour, and improve handling characteristics. First, odorous compounds are absorbed to reduce volatilization. Then a superior blend of nine selectively adapted microorganisms including proprietary species of yeast, fungi and bacteria degrade the offending compounds. Degradation also consumes nitrogen and phosphorous, converting it to biomass. Proprietary ingredients including enzymes and growth accelerators speed this microbial process to maximize the rate of treatment and throughput of manure.

FEATURES

o Reduces atmospheric ammonia concentration and associated toxicity for workers.
o Improves animal health and increases production rate in containment areas which typically produce high concentrations of ammonia andhydrogen sulphide.
o Improves public relations by reducing malodours which affect the neighbouring communities.
o Increases the nutrient value of the waste for fertilizer by adding microorganisms which improve nutrient uptake and stimulate plant growth.

BENEFITS

Improves handling characteristics of the waste material by removing scum layers and softening solid deposits.
Accelerates degradation of cellulolytic materials.

Effluent Systems must be compliant 365 days a year not just seasonally

Using Farm-Aid will save:

Farm-Aid has a lower cost than conventional Nitrogen (Urea)

No Urea required on paddocks sprayed with treated effluent

Reduced Fertiliser per HectareReduced Supplementary Feed costs

Maximise benefits of collected effluent, turn waste to profit

Farm-Aid has been shown to increase pasture by 25% without Urea, reducing the risk of Nitrate leaching.

No risk of Nitrate poisoning

No requirement for Nitrification inhibitors

INCREASED production Ms/Kg
